Maria and Pat in the shop

Owners Maria Wasowski and Pat Miller opened the doors at A Show of Hands on November 25, 2005. Their dream was to represent the diversity of local artists by providing them with a venue to showcase and sell their work. All items are unique and handcrafted and the shop has quickly become the place to get a one-of-a-kind gift or piece of jewelry.

The shop has a diverse range of offerings and all pieces are taken on consignment. Some of the artists are well known, while others are just starting out. Currently, more than 200 artists are represented, including Patrick O’Brien, Alice Kale, Leah Sturgis, Paige Ireland, and Ginny Steinhauer (The Girl Upstairs). The inventory is constantly changing so check out the window displays each month.
