Paul Moran

Former Arlington Special Education teacher Paul Moran
has been creating his unique decoboxes for over a decade.  Merging traditional decoupage methods with computer technology and imagination, he creates original designs which are then applied to hand painted wooden boxes.

Paul’s whimsical style often results in a finished work that blends beauty and practicality with elements of surprise and humor.  “I enjoy encouraging others to examine their opinions and expectations.  That’s why I like working with boxes.  Their outward appearances can be misleading and, just like people, you never really know what’s hidden inside until you take the time to look.”

His wide variety of designs include playfully altered classic works of art and literature, popular songs, silent movies, and magic, as well as custom work using family photographs and memorabilia.  Paul is also the author of What’s So Funny?  How To Sharpen Your Sense Of Humor.  “Anyone can learn how to think funny and spread good feelings.”
